Our story
Fixed Right, Explained Clearly
We're a family-run shop in Indio where the mechanic who diagnoses your car is the same one who explains it to you. Customers tell us they appreciate walking away actually understanding what was wrong, not just paying a bill.
When a family's front axle gave out on a Saturday night on their way to Arizona, we opened the shop to get their car off the street, then had a new axle installed within a few hours the next morning. That's the kind of service we try to bring to every repair, whether it's a routine fix or a roadside emergency.
A/C trouble is one of our specialties. We've tracked down electrical issues other shops couldn't find and turned same-day repairs around for drivers passing through the desert who couldn't afford to wait.

What customers say
“These guys saved us. Our front axle gave out whilst on the way to Arizona so I had the tow truck drop us here on a Saturday night. They opened up on the Saturday evening to put the car inside, they started working Sunday morning and found a new part and had the new axle installed within a few hours for a reasonable price.”
“Super grateful for Jeff at Martinez's Auto Repair! While on a road trip from out of state, our car started having issues right as most shops were closing. Jeff squeezed us in the same day, even though he was already super busy. He was patient and took the time to explain everything clearly.”
“Jeff is a great guy, and an honest mechanic. After trying to figure out the issues with my A/C, which I went through a few mechanic shops, Martinez's Auto Repair was able to diagnose and fix my A/C issues, which were due to an electrical issue. They were able to get the parts and fix my a/c on the same day, all at an affordable price.”
